Course Description:
This course is designed to give the student an Introduction to Meditation as a practice to be developed over their lifetime. The course will introduce the student to the foundations of meditation and mindfulness, discuss the scientific research of the benefits of such a practice, and provide practice at different types of meditation. An attempt will be made to promote these activities and the realization of the importance to the student of continued practice and compounding benefit throughout one’s life. This course requires no physical movement and is suitable for all students.
